They are coming and I don’t think we will ever get out. It you’re reading this please call the police. Call them now. I can’t promise we will be here tomorrow or the day after, or the day after that, but tell them to rescue us before it’s too late. Tell them to try.
If they ask for a name, tell them my name is Allison Hewitt, and tell then that I’m trapped. Allison Hewitt and five other missing souls are holding out in the break room of Brooks & Peabody at the corner of Langdon and Park. We are all in relatively good health. Most importantly: none of us are infected. (Taken from back cover).
This was the first book that I have read in 2012 and what an interesting read it was. I was immediately sucked into the zombie apocalypse.
I found myself going through every emotion with Allison and felt like I was watching all the events unfold in front of my eyes.
I loved the style of the novel. It is written in blog entries and has various other survivors commenting on her posts. I have never came across a novel written in this manner and at first I was a bit unsure if I was going to be able to read a novel like this. However this thought was soon out of my head and I don’t think this novel would have worked so well, if it was not written in blog entries.
Overall a well though out zombie novel, that I highly recommend.
