Robert Neville is the last living man on Earth…but he is not alone. Every other man, woman, and child on Earth has become a vampire, and they are all hungry for Neville’s blood.
By day, he is the hunter, stalking the sleeping undead through the abandoned ruins of civilization. By night, he barricades himself in his home and prays for dawn.
How long can one man survive in a world of vampires? (Taken from goodreads)
My Thoughts
It took me close to two weeks to read this book. I found myself getting slightly bored and confused half way through this book. I had to put this book down and pick it back up after some time had passed. However once I started re-reading I found myself unable to put this book down.
I think the thing that disappointed me most about this book was its length. I just feel like the story could be bulked up a bit more with more history of the virus and Robert Neville battle to try to find a cure. I would also of liked to have read a bit more background regarding Robert as a character and his relationship with his wife.
I did not see the ending of this book coming and was shocked and surprised by the way it finished. This book is definitely worth a read, if only for the reading.
Overall this book was ok but it id not one I will be rushing to re-read anytime soon.
I really liked the idea of this story, but the actual execution was meh. I feel bad saying it but I wished someone else had written it.
